Pain is often only one part of the problem.
The body works as an integrated system, with movement, strength and joint function all influencing one another.
Your assessment combines your medical history with a detailed clinical examination, including orthopaedic testing and movement assessment, to help establish the most likely diagnosis and identify factors that may be contributing to your symptoms.

What to expect
Your first session is focused on understanding your body in detail.
We begin with a comprehensive medical history, including previous injuries, treatment, lifestyle, and any relevant scans or investigations. This helps build an accurate picture before any testing begins.
A full clinical assessment is then carried out, including movement analysis, joint testing, neurological screening, and physical examination to understand how your body is functioning and identify clinically relevant findings.
You’ll leave with a clear explanation of what’s going on, and a structured plan outlining the most appropriate next steps.
If clinically indicated, additional assessment may be undertaken to identify findings that require further investigation or referral.
About
James D. Adams has a particular interest in understanding how movement, joint mechanics and muscle function interact, and how changes within one area can contribute to pain, dysfunction and altered movement patterns.
With experience assessing thousands of patients across private practice and clinical settings in Switzerland, he has collaborated with orthopaedic specialists and multidisciplinary teams involved in the assessment and management of complex musculoskeletal conditions.
His clinical work has included the interpretation of X-ray, CT and MRI imaging alongside laboratory investigations.
Following assessment, patients receive a clear explanation of their condition, the factors contributing to their symptoms, and the management options available to them.
